So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land. #, 12_2KI_15_37  In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah. #, 12_2KI_16_07  So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I [am] thy servant and thy son, come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me. #, 12_2KI_16_08  And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent [it for] a present to the king of Assyria. #, 12_2KI_16_09  And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him, for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried [the people of] it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin. #, 12_2KI_16_18  And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria. #, 12_2KI_17_04  And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea, for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as [he had done] year by year, therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison. #, 12_2KI_17_05  Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years. #, 12_2KI_17_06  In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor [by] the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes. #, 12_2KI_17_24  And the king of Assyria brought [men] from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed [them] in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel, and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof. #, 12_2KI_17_26  Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land, therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land. #, 12_2KI_17_27  Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land. #, 12_2KI_18_07  And the LORD was with him; [and] he prospered whithersoever he went forth, and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not. #, 12_2KI_18_11  And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor [by] the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes, #, 12_2KI_18_14  And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me, that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold. #, 12_2KI_18_16  At that time did Hezekiah cut off [the gold from] the doors of the temple of the LORD, and [from] the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria. #, 12_2KI_18_17  And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which [is] in the highway of the fuller's field. #, 12_2KI_18_19  And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence [is] this wherein thou trustest? #, 12_2KI_18_23  Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them. #, 12_2KI_18_28  Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria, #, 12_2KI_18_30  Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. #, 12_2KI_18_31  Hearken not to Hezekiah, for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make [an agreement] with me by a present, and come out to me, and [then] eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern, #, 12_2KI_18_33  Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? And Jeremiah said, There is, for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon. #, 24_JER_37_19  Where [are] now your prophets which prophesied unto you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land? #, 24_JER_38_03  Thus saith the LORD, This city shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon's army, which shall take it. #, 24_JER_38_17  Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house, #, 24_JER_38_18  But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand. #, 24_JER_38_22  And, behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah's house [shall be] brought forth to the king of Babylon's princes, and those [women] shall say, Thy friends have set thee on, and have prevailed against thee, thy feet are sunk in the mire, [and] they are turned away back. #, 24_JER_38_23  So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon, and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire. #, 24_JER_39_03  And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate, [even] Nergalsharezer, Samgarnebo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon. #, 24_JER_39_04  And it came to pass, [that] when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's garden, by the gate betwixt the two walls, and he went out the way of the plain. #, 24_JER_39_06  Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes, also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah. #, 24_JER_39_13  So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushasban, Rabsaris, and Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, and all the king of Babylon's princes; #, 24_JER_40_05  Now while he was not yet gone back, [he said], Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people, or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go. #, 24_JER_40_07  Now when all the captains of the forces which [were] in the fields, [even] they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon; #, 24_JER_40_09  And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans, dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you. #, 24_JER_40_11  Likewise when all the Jews that [were] in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that [were] in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan; #, 24_JER_40_14  And said unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee?
