avenger 1Th_04_06 That no [man] go beyond and defraud his brother in [any] matter: because that the Lord [is] the {avenger} of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
avenger Deu_19_06 Lest the {avenger} of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he [was] not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.
